I cannot say enough about Dr. To Jo and her amazing team. I never had a vet call me after hours or on weekends to see how my babies were doing. The vet never gave me his cell phone while he was seriously ill to make me feel like I wasn’t alone. I even called the poor doctor and he answered. Not only is she the most caring vet I’ve had in the 40 years I’ve had my fur babies, but her staff is fantastic. She has helped me through some very difficult times and I know that in addition to all the other animals she cares for, I am still on her mind. It’s not about money with Dr. Joia, but about the pet. Tequesta Veterinary Clinic has been a pleasant experience every time I take my pets there. dr. Sutton is very knowledgeable about all pet needs. He is dedicated to helping animals and their owners. The clinic has a very happy and cheerful atmosphere.

The most experienced, compassionate and competent vet I have ever been to! dr. Joi is a blessing that has finally been found. If you live in the region or even close to the region, get out of those expensive chain clinics and go to someone who cares about animals, not charging an arm and a leg. The Harborside Riverwalk is a great way for dogs and people to get some exercise together by walking this 5 mile dog trail. Dogs are welcome anywhere outside of this pet-friendly park and must be on a lead at all times.
Dog poop bags are available at several poop stations along the boardwalk. Dogs can even walk along the docks to get a better view of the boats moored there. It was fun watching Icy and Phoebe put their faces in the water to smell what was coming out of the water!

Walking along the river bank you have a beautiful view of the water, some mangroves and numerous boats, both sailing and docking. If you look in the water, you will probably see fish swimming near the shore. We recently found a little puffer fish near the rocks on the shore, it was really cool!
We prefer to go to the Harborside Riverwalk during the week because it’s not too crowded during the week. Weekends can be crowded and there are often special events.
There are many shops and restaurants, many of which have outdoor terraces where dogs are welcome. My favorite dog friendly restaurants along the Riverwalk are;

Is Jupiter Worth Visiting? (by Locals)
I never miss an opportunity to eat guacamole at the table! It’s so fresh and delicious. They do a great job expertly mixing it at your table. Calaveras is located in the middle of the riverwalk.
I drink tea, but my husband drinks coffee. They have really good breakfast sandwiches and good food, like coconut cake. We usually bring the dogs here in the morning. We wanted to end our long walk by relaxing in Subkultura. We get coffee and tea, the dogs get chew sticks or other treats and a bowl of cold water.
There is plenty of free parking at Harborside, as well as paid parking in two garages. We prefer to park in the square under the bridge (Indiantown Rd bridge). It’s free, it’s on the water and the car is in the shade the whole time we’re parked.
The Harborside Riverwalk is one of our favorite places for dogs in South Florida. If you are taking your dog to this dog trail, remember to bring plenty of water to keep them hydrated.

Bring treats or chews to keep your dog busy if you stop at one of the restaurants or cafes after your walk. And I highly recommend you do!
You should also bring your own dog poop bags, as the poop stations along the riverwalk are widely spaced. You don’t want to get stuck because you can’t pick up poop when you need to.
