One of the best dog-friendly places in Queensland is Summit 1770, a place for dogs and their owners just outside Agnes Water. In addition to the three dog kennels near the summit, an indoor parking lot was recently constructed near the entrance.
There is a mix of electric and non-electric sites, with a large camp kitchen and utility block. But the dog areas are very clear.
In front of the main entrance block is a large fenced dog park. There is also a small dog running around watching the sunset. Also, since I stayed in 2021, dog pens have been added to a third of the electronics stores. Hurry up and grab a spot with your unique 3m by 3m dog pen.

The Gold Coast BIG4 holiday park offers plenty for the whole family, from a huge water park to a licensed restaurant, but it’s also dog-friendly, as it’s the Gold Coast’s best dog-friendly car park. Close to Brisbane.
For starters, dogs are allowed in select areas, including residences, and dog-friendly accommodations, ranging in size from studios to six-bedrooms. Two well-behaved dogs are allowed to join you inside, at no extra charge, and advance booking is required.
For all the dogs that live in the park, there is a large area, the queen, full of grooming equipment. Dogs are allowed to stay with you in the pool cafe, but if you are going out, you must book in the kennels. There’s also a DIY dog bath to groom after a visit to one of the Gold Coast beach rentals.
If you want to head north from Brisbane, visit Puna Palms Holiday Park. It is located on the western side of the Great Sandy Strait in the small village of Pune, three hours from the center of Brisbane.

It’s a quiet, peaceful place, great for fishing and kayaking (in a boat), or just enjoying the sun. Pets are welcome to join you in electronic areas all year round, at the vet’s discretion, or to inquire about their accommodation.

Walkman Caravan Park is a friendly caravan park between Mareeba and Atherton. This is a great place to explore the Atherton Tablelands, although caravans and camper vans are allowed – no tent camping. In the center is a large camp kitchen and fireplace, a popular gathering place for gray travelers.
One of the problems of long journeys is cleaning your dog’s bed (towels or coats…) and car floors are not surprising, dog things are washed by floor cleaners. Fortunately, the park provided a washing machine just to clean the dog beds.
One of the most dog-friendly places near Bundaberg is Woodgate Beach, thanks to its long beach, with a footpath on one side. Fortunately NRMA Woodgate Beach Holiday Park is pet friendly.
Up to two pets allowed inside and outside the property, whether dogs, cats or birds. Write directly on the board. When you check in with your dog, you’ll be given a dog welcome pack, complete with dog-friendly maps, dog biscuits and all the goodies.

On site, dogs are welcome in many campsites, including Bertha’s Aussie van. We lived in the dog corner, which was close to the camp kitchen and living area. This nature reserve was close to where there were a few hikers.
Remember that peeing is common in the area, so it’s best to cover your child and keep him inside in the evening.
