Tenby North and Castle Beach are dog free from May 1 to September 30. Tenby South Beach is the best place to walk your dog on the sand. There are some restrictions on the left side of the South Beach parking lot, but the rest of the beach is free for your dog to roam and play.
Jacksons Bay is a dog-friendly beach on Barry Island, but note that Whitmore Bay has a dog-only rule between 1 May and 30 September each year.
There are only seven beaches in Anglesey where dogs are restricted. This is; Beaumaris, Benllech, Cemaes Bay, Llanddona, Llanddwyn (Newbrough), Porth Dafarch and Treardurr Bay. These restrictions apply between May 1 and September 30 each year. See Anglesey Council for more details and maps.
During the summer months, there are full or partial restrictions on dogs on many beaches. These include Amroth, Broad Haven, Coppet Hall, Dale Lydstep, Newgale, Poppit, Saundersfoot, Tenby Castle, Tenby North and Tenby South.
