Just outside Keswick Market, Mire House Farm is a collection of shepherd’s huts and glamping cabins overlooking the hills of the North Fells. Little Man is one of the few dog friendly accommodation with a small enclosed garden and dozens of acres of green land, perfect for a walk or a quick escape. The nearby village of Threlkeld has several pet friendly pubs.

Explore Newquay with its dog-friendly bars, restaurants and cafes, and do activities such as a steam train ride in the Lap Valley or a fishing trip to welcome your furry friends.
Overlooking Fistral, the Esplanade Hotel offers guests a base with unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean. Not just for dogs, there are dog beds and toys available, and there is even a special ‘snacks’ menu for dogs, including meals such as fish and chips or a roast dinner.
With spacious rooms, a spa and pool and easy access to the beach, this Cornish hotel offers space for the whole family – with an emphasis on ‘making memories’, with surfing lessons and similar family activities available.

Snowhill Manor Farmhouse is part of a larger estate owned by the National Trust in the village of Snowhill (near Broadway). It’s a “real walking fringe” with dozens of dog-friendly walks nearby, as part of the 102-mile Cotswold Way, but visitors can also visit Stratton-upon-Avon Stratford-upon-Avon or Chipping Campden nearby. The cabin has a cozy, modern interior and a wood-burning fireplace to keep guests warm. There is plenty of room for two dogs, meaning large groups can rent this custom cabin.
Brighton is one of the most dog-friendly cities in the UK. The city has many walking paths, beaches, pavilion gardens and parks such as the nearby South Downs, but Brighton is also home to dog-friendly businesses, including several pubs and cafes.
You can take your dog for a swim by the water at Volk’s Electric Railway or go to any of the dog friendly events in town, such as Saltdean Lido’s Dogtember event (open to dogs and owners every weekend from 9pm to 9pm ) and four race swims (September and October 1).

Yorkshire is another county that is ideal for family holidays, with its new countryside and seaside towns offering plenty of ways to while away the time. Whitby is one such town, situated on the coast but only a few miles from the border of the North York Moors National Park, so you can choose between walking or running on the sand and sea.
Egton Estate is situated on the Moors, set in 6,000 acres. With acres and miles of creeks running through the property, it’s a great place to raise dogs, where owners can play with their rescue dogs (and choose from a selection of organic treats).
Your four-legged friend can accompany you fishing or shooting, with part of the Coast to Coast walking route passing through Egerton. For dinner you can make use of the barbecue facilities or visit the estate’s own pub, the Horseshoe Hotel.
