First, a little recap of how we became new pet parents. A few years ago, when COVID suddenly took over our lives and the first lockdowns began, my husband and I joined a group of pet lovers to help feed Indian dogs on the street . That’s when we found a bunch of cute puppies missing in the park without their mom. They were only a few weeks old and we took turns feeding them. One of them was a strong and playful puppy and a friend of ours immediately named him Raju as it is the favorite name of all dogs.

Raju grew meaner by the day, and soon became a happy but powerful alpha. Unfortunately, tragedy struck, when he was only six months old, he was attacked by thieves in the middle of the night and his spine was broken. Super energetic boy Raju was partially paralyzed and in so much pain, so many vets told us to put him down. Eventually one joined the practice and we brought him home with the hope that one day he would be able to walk and run like normal dogs. However, two years later, although he can walk a little, he is still semi-paralyzed and restless, but he runs in a wheelchair that we gave him. Raju is a traveler who has visited beaches and jungles and is now enjoying a fantastic vacation in the mountains. His sister Aishu has always been with him through the hardships and in the last few months she started staying with us and this trip was her first time away from home.
