The wooden house, combined with a neat interior and a spectacular view of the private river, creates an unforgettable experience with friends, family or for the whole family. Set on the banks of the River Lyne, the luxury home has a riverside area for fishing and exploring. Due to its location, the area is rich in birds and animals, including crabs, rabbits and many other creatures.
Hidden River Cabins was founded by Carlisle dairy farmer Rob Carr. In exchange for the unique beauty of his farm and surroundings, he decided that everyone should see this part of an unspoilt corner of England where apartments can be found. With the help of his wife Rachel Carr, his 2 children are the team at Hidden River Cabins. They continue to receive visitors from all over the world.
Rob custom designed the 6 cabinets and the wood was sourced from UK forests. Shortly after the 6 cabins were built, the Hidden River Cafe and Reception was built. in 2017 Hidden River Barn has been renovated from a farmhouse into a 2-wing cabin that sleeps up to 16 people.
We have 6 log cabins situated in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside just outside the Lake District National Park. Each house is named after a wild animal and a wild animal. These cottages can accommodate up to 4 people and are designed to be as luxurious as Hidden River House with modern amenities.
At Hidden River Cabins, we welcome dogs in all of our cabins. So bring your furry friend! We just ask that dogs stay off and enjoy the sights and smells of the surrounding forest and of course a swim in the river! Hidden River House is not dog friendly.
