Durdle Door Beach in Dorset came top with a score of 8.85 out of 10 for dogs. The famous limestone arch, described as “the perfect shelter for dogs and their owners, creates a dreamy backdrop for play.

Another beach destination in Dorset, Maine O’War Beach, came second after 8.3. Also known as East Durdle Door, it’s a rocky beach with calm water protected from swells, meaning a chance to get away with your pups.

It is tied to a cottage on the Welsh coast, Three Cliffs Bay in Glamorgan, which is the first sandy beach on the list. There are beach huts with plenty of room to move around.

In fourth place with 8.2 out of 10 is Marlus Sands in Pembrokeshire. A stretch of golden beach with a dramatic cliff backdrop is “the best photo opportunity with your dog,” the report said.

Rounding out the top five is Cookmere Haven Beach in East Sussex with a score of 8.06. A quiet strip of rock next to the white chalk cliffs of the Seven Sisters.

Devon was home to the most dog-friendly beaches on the list, 22 times out of 148.

The research comes from Shores to You, which analyzed Google rankings and reviewed 148 beaches to find the most popular dog-free destinations. However, beaches that were not classified and reviewed on Google Maps were excluded from the study. To obtain an overall weighted score, a weighted average was calculated before calculating the overall index score.

Be careful as there are local monkeys that are usually seen mingling with the sanctuary keepers who can have a good time and steal your belongings if not well guarded.

These two islands are called Big Sister Island (Pulau Subar Laut) and Little Sister Island (Pulau Subar Darat).
