We had a very pleasant stay at Convent Cottage. Centrally located, nice walk up the hill to the main beach, very close to great restaurants and cafes. Yamba and the people we met were great! One of the best pet-friendly accommodation options in Australia is caravan parks, and many caravan parks allow pets to stay. Caravan parks also have many facilities, such as swimming pools and playgrounds, which are great if you are holidaying with children.

However, most caravan parks in Australia with cabins do not allow dogs in their cabins, although they do allow dogs on site. This makes things difficult if you don’t have your own caravan or motorhome, not even a tent.

If you’re looking to stay in a cabin with your dog in NSW, I’ve put together a list of pet friendly cabins in NSW. Most are in caravan parks, while others are cabin parks. While not exhaustive, we hope this gives you some ideas on where to take your child on your next vacation!

There aren’t many caravan parks around Sydney that allow pets, so it’s no surprise that there aren’t many pet-friendly apartments around Sydney. Check out the options available within a two-hour drive from Sydney.

It’s only a two-hour drive south of Sydney to Gerringong, south of Kiama. A good dog-friendly caravan park is Werri Beach Holiday Park. In addition to allowing pets on site, the caravan park also has three pet-friendly two bedroom cabins.

Direct booking is required when booking a cabin with a dog. Note that dogs are only allowed in the park outside of peak NSW school and public holiday periods.

One of the best things about staying at Wherry Beach Holiday Park with your dog is that you are directly opposite Wherry Beach, which has an off-leash area. There is also the off-leash Headland Park and the nearby dog-friendly Kiama Coast Walk.

Recently, another Kiama Beach holiday park run by Kiama Council has started allowing pets in some of their rooms. At Surf Beach Vacation Park, select 2-bedroom cabanas are pet-friendly for an additional $25 per night.

The park is only a short walk from the center of Kiama and the famous clapping hole. However, please note that the nearby beach does not allow dogs on the sand, although there is a dog training area at the nearby Caleula Park.

Reservations must be made directly, either by calling or emailing the park. Like Werri Beach Holiday Park, pets are only allowed in the off season.

If you prefer to head north of Sydney, Blacksmiths Beachside Holiday Park is a great dog-friendly caravan park between the Central Coast and Newcastle. I’ve camped at the park before in an RV, but there are also two dog-friendly cabins.

Both pet-friendly rooms have a dog door to the enclosed porch, as well as a dog bed and water bowl. It is best to call before booking to check the rules, as certain breeds are prohibited. However, there are no restrictions on peak periods.

The park is just a short walk from the patrolled Blacksmiths Beach, and a short drive (or long walk) from the dog beach on the northern edge of town. There is a dog wash on site.

Pokolbin is over two hours from central Sydney, depending on traffic, but still close enough for a quick weekend trip with your dog. If you’re looking for a pet friendly lodge in the Hunter Valley, head to Ingenia Holidays Hunter Valley.

Look for pet-friendly cabins in caravan parks along the NSW North Coast, north from Port Stephens to the Queensland border. Ideal for a road trip along the NSW coast or a relaxing beach holiday, one of the best dog friendly beaches in NSW.

There aren’t many pet-friendly lodges around Port Stephens, but the most popular pet-friendly caravan park in the area is BIG4 Bays Holiday Park in Anna Bay, although unfortunately pets are no longer allowed during peak times, including holidays. NSW schools and long. . the weekend.

The twin towns of Forster-Tuncurry are a great place to visit with your dog. There are plenty of dog-friendly beaches and restaurants, as well as some pet-friendly cabins to stay with your pup by your side.

One caravan park that offers pet-friendly accommodation is Lanny’s Holiday Island, on the lakefront in Forster. Frequently recommended among dog owners, pets are allowed in selected cabins. Choose from pet-friendly apartments, villas and cottages, each accommodating four or five guests. Double check if bed linen is included.

Another great dog-friendly caravan park in Forster-Tuncurry is Discovery Parks – Forster, located north of town on the river in Darawank. Dogs are welcome to stay in the park all year round, in selected areas and in selected cabins.

Lodges that allow dogs are clearly listed on their website – just look for the “Dog OK” sign. Even the deluxe river cabins allow pets! Note that an additional fee applies and usually only one dog is allowed per space, but double check with management if you have two puppies.

The park also has plenty of extra facilities for dogs (although families will also love the newly opened pool and splash park). There is a shaded dog park, a dog wash and dryer (for a fee), and every Sunday at 08.00 there is a Discovery Barks walk.

Further north, Diamond Water Caravan Park is 40 minutes south of Port Macquarie, on the Camden Haven River near Laurieton. It is a beautiful place surrounded by forest and welcomes dogs all year round but no cats to protect the local wildlife.

There is one independent pet-friendly cabin available in the park. Up to two dogs are allowed, with a small additional cleaning fee of $20 per stay. See their website for their complete pet policy. There is also a dog park on site!

A popular caravan park with pet owners is Reflections Holiday Parks Moonee Beach, north of Coffs Harbour. Dogs are allowed year-round in the caravan park, both on the grounds and in selected cabins.

Dog-friendly cabin options include premium 4-person cabins, luxury 5-person cabins and budget 6-person cabins, as well as the brand new Tiny House, perfect for couples with a pup. Dog-friendly options are clearly listed.

The park is close to a dog-friendly area, including a leash, Moonee Beach, and a convenient on-site dog wash. There’s also plenty to do around Coffs Harbor with the dogs if you’re staying a while.
