Park in one of the many car parks along Beachy Head Road (BN20 7YA), the largest of which is the Beachy Head Pub (5 minutes from Lansdowne Hotel). If you are traveling by train, the location is only 3 stops from West Lansing station (2 minutes walk from Lansdowne Hotel) to Beachhead centre. From there you can cross the hills to Beachy Head: on the lower plain or on the more difficult and accessible Peace Way (750m round trip). On a clear day, the scenic views of this hike stretch for miles, especially with spectacular sunsets and sunrises. Bring your binoculars to watch the ocean and look around for a variety of waterfowl. This trail is close to the edge of the cliff, so you may want to keep untrained dogs on a leash and nearby! Grab a drink at The Beachy Head, another dog friendly venue in Eastbourne, just 1 minute from the station.
