Swansea Bay from the slipway (opposite Victoria Park) to Lôn Sketi Beach (opposite Welsh National Pool / Singleton Boat Lake) This is a great choice for us, with safe and open sand. The beach is smooth and perfect for dogs who like to swim, although you should be aware that there are areas with low currents. Café360 has now closed and a new company called Seven will launch this year

Although you can walk on the lake, it is rocky and most people prefer to walk on the pool. You will pass by Verdi’s amazing ice cream parlor with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy your refreshments. A great place to watch the harbor while people watching and soaking up the fresh air.

It’s not easy to get to – the car park is small and far away, but with a walk in the Llandeilo Ferwallt valley, it can be an amazing experience with your dog. There are no buildings on the beach.

Pobbles A scenic walk from Southgate along a gravel road and down a sandy beach takes you to the Pobbles. There are no buildings after Southgate Village. The steep and endless hills can be stressful for some unsuspecting dogs but the trail is long from the coast. Going back to the beach is really hard.

The Three Cliffs View of Bay Cliffs Bay is one of the most spectacular views in the entire country. You can start your journey against the shepherds in Parkmill. It is a pleasant walk of several kilometers to the beach through forest and sand and grass. You may want to have a drink and a bite to eat as there are no shops on the promenade.

Tor Bay A nice, long walk from Penmaen takes you out to this sandy beach. No accessories.

Crawley If you love the sand and the scenery, this could be the beach for you and your dog. Limited parking, no buildings and very long trails but a great beach to escape the crowds.
