Standard Cabins Pet Friendly

Crystal Brook Tourist Park is the only park outside Melbourne with animal cabins. The park is located in Doncaster East, a suburb of Melbourne on the north-eastern edge of the city.

Pets are allowed in designated park cabins and on site. Choose from a deluxe family villa or a superior hillside villa, each of which can accommodate up to six people, or a standard cabin that sleeps four.

Each cabin is en suite and has its own bathroom. A pet fee of $25 per stay applies. There is also an off-leash dog exercise area with a skills course at the edge of the park.

Just 90 minutes from Melbourne city center in Daylesford and Daylesford Holiday Park where pets are welcome all year round. Pets are allowed in the restaurant, campground and new pet cabin.

Pet-friendly Accommodation In Marysville

Barque Royale is a studio cabin that can accommodate up to two people and allows two small and medium-sized dogs inside. There is also a fenced area outside for your kids, including a doggie door perfect for small dogs. Online booking is available on the site.

Best Friend Retreat is one of the best places to stay with dogs in Victoria. Located in the Tara Valley in southern Victoria, it is surrounded by rainforest but just a 2.5 hour drive south-east of Melbourne, perfect for a relaxing weekend.

Each of the park’s seven cabins is dog-friendly and well fenced. They range from budget to luxury options and can usually accommodate up to five or six people. Both have a private bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. Of course, dogs should sleep inside!

The park also has six fenced dog areas, meaning your dog always has room to run around the park. In one of the areas there is decorative equipment and in the other a giant ball for the dog. Furthermore, there are hydro-bath cabins to refresh you at the end of a busy and muddy day.

Wye River Pet-friendly Accommodation

Further east, Prime Pet-Friendly Tourist Park is another great pet-friendly park in Gippsland. The park is located at the entrance to the lake, a few steps from the lakeside promenade. The park recently became Victoria’s first kid-free park, designed instead for those traveling with pets.

At Prime, all cabins, kennels and vans are 100% dog friendly. In fact, they are for pet owners only! In consideration of owners of allergic dogs, one of the cabins is reserved for hypoallergenic dogs only.

You’ll also find dog washes, off-leash grooming, kennel washers, and dog kennels on site. Look out for new developments, including new glamping tents and accommodation packages along with training sessions. .

One pet-friendly cabin option in Victoria that is not available in the park is Golden Beach Cabins. The cabins are located at Golden Beach in Central Gippsland, approximately 3 hours east of Melbourne, directly opposite 90 Mile Beach.

Five Remote Cabins Outside Of Melbourne Where You Can Go Off The Grid

There are two guest bedrooms, each of which can accommodate five guests. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but must be kept away from furniture. You are required to provide your own kennel for your dog and there is a small additional charge for cleaning if dog hair is left on the furniture or if you do not pick it up. Please note that the toilet is not fenced off.

The cabin is a short walk to the off-leash dog beach, between campsites 1 and 6 along Golden Beach or east to Paradise Beach.

One of the fantastic caravan parks I have seen in my travels so far is the Marengo Family Caravan Park outside Apollo Bay.

Beechworth Lake Sambell Caravan Park, Beechworth

At this caravan park pets are welcome all year round on site and in all rooms. You can choose between holiday cabins, sea view cabins and sea view spa cabins. Each cabin can accommodate five or six people.

Please note that although dogs are permitted in the cabin, they are not permitted on the carpet or furniture. However, there is no additional charge for pets and dogs at nearby beaches.

BIG4 Aireys Inlet Holiday Park is another animal park at the eastern end of the Great Ocean Road, unfortunately animals are not allowed in the park during the Victorian summer holidays – please call to confirm exact dates.

In addition to being allowed in select areas, pets are welcome in some buildings. Choose from four-person cabins with enclosed porches and roofs or two-person cabins with a small yard for the pups.

Pets are allowed in the cabin, but not on the furniture. A water bowl and litter box are provided for your dog. Check with the park to see if fees apply and a list of pet rules.

If you drive further west along the Great Ocean Road to Warrnambool, Port Fairy and Portland, you’ll find more parks with animal sanctuaries.

Gum Tree Caravan Park is a beautiful park on the outskirts of Port Fairy. We stayed in a lovely studio in the park which was nice and modern with a large kitchen and bathroom.

Freshwater Creek Cottages

Situated in the heart of Warrnambool, BIG4 Tasman Holiday Park – Warrnambool (also known as Figtree Holiday Park) is pet friendly all year round subject to management approval.

In addition to being allowed on all tent and car sites, pets are also welcome in some standard cabins. These two-bedroom cabins have twin bunk beds and twin bunk beds and can accommodate up to six guests. They also have bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens and air conditioning.

There’s plenty to see and do when you visit the Goldfields area with your dog, and there’s no shortage of pet-friendly accommodation to choose from.

BIG4 Ballarat Windmill Caravan Park is a popular destination for dog owners, thanks to its fully enclosed caravans and campsites with a dedicated dog area. The park also has a lovely pet billabong area at the back of the park, where humans and dogs can run around in a natural environment.

However, if you don’t have a trailer or tent, the park also offers a two-bedroom Dogwood for dogs. The cabin sleeps up to five people and dogs are allowed, though not on the furniture. There are bowls and toys for the dogs and an enclosed porch with its own dog run.

BIG4 Tasman Holiday Parks – Bendigo are close to Bendigo city center and accept pets in their kennels and electric areas except during holidays. Contact the park directly for the latest blackout dates.

Two of the park’s cabins are designed to accommodate dogs, a two-bedroom dog kennel and a three-bedroom dog kennel. Both cabins have a private fenced yard where your dog can enjoy off-leash and you will be given a dog wash voucher for a nearby pet store.
