We’re going to turn our sanctuary into a winter wonderland! Pack a sled and head to Hampden for a day of family fun and photo opportunities. Our PAWliday Village will offer photo opportunities (free and paid) for you and your pets, vendors and even some milk and cookies. Start the holidays off by buying gifts, taking photos for your holiday cards, and saying goodbye to adopted animals.
Get your pet ready for an up close and personal encounter with Santa! CenterCourt offers family pet photos every Monday. Animals are part of the family too! Bring the whole group for a photo with Santa. As seats are not guaranteed, advance reservations are recommended.
Treat your dog to a leisurely 1-mile walk or an exciting 3-mile walk at Leashes ‘n’ Lights. Interact with your favorite dogs and experience over 450 magical light shows. Enjoy a hot drink and take a pet selfie with Santa (bring your camera). There will be multiple dog vendors in the heated tent, including Corgasaur, 4H Kids N Dogs Club, Paw by Paw Dog Training, Pet Wants, Warrior Canine Connection. Last entry is at 20:00.
The holidays are coming! We hope you’ll join us for a very special Pigtown event. Bring your pup to compete in contests dressed in their best holiday attire and “parade” around Pigtown to local breweries. Checkerspot, Wicotraat and Pickett participated. There is no starting point, please join us at three between 12pm and 4pm. All three breweries contribute a percentage to BARCS for specific beers. We will also be offering BARCS merchandise (including our 2024 calendar!) and a bake sale.
