Over six years of traveling in an RV with animals. I think one of the places that impressed me the most is the area under the Chalk Pyramids in Kansas. Not many tourists know the road. Now the secret is out. On the western edge of Gove County, Kansas, are the Rocky Mountains. This is a monolithic collection called a chalk pyramid. Dogs are allowed to lick you. And you will feel like you are on another planet. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Because he is from Florida. We love being on the beach! But after visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes and Brickle and Digby National Lakeshore, I now have a taste of lake life! Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore has miles of sand and cliffs towering over Lake Michigan. Like many places there are some beaches where dogs are not allowed. So check when you wander the park, look at the maps, or look online. We found several places in Bricula and Digby on this beautiful lake that we ordered. But remember that dogs are not allowed on the mountain for safety reasons.
Your dog will feel like Paul Bunyan when he’s in Bemidji, Minnesota! This was a great stop for us on our journey. Find giant statues of Paul Bunyan and Blue Babe on special occasions. This building has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1988. Built in 1937, Paul Bunyan and the Blue Ox Babe sit on the shore of the lake near the Tourist Information Center. Here to see the springs of the Mississippi River, go hiking, and have a picnic!
