When the first flights begin on December 2, 2024, they will depart four times a week. They depart from SAT to Guadalajara International Airport (GDL) at 9:20am arriving at 11:30am, with a return flight at 6am arriving at 8:10am. Since Guadalajara and San Antonio are in the same zone, they make for an easy two-hour, 10-minute flight.
Viva is introducing eight new GDL routes, one of them being San Antonio. Fly to four locations in the US. It extends its current service from SAT to Monterrey from November 1, 2024. Starting twice a day, three times on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
“Viva Airbus is expanding nonstop service in Mexico,” San Antonio Airport Director Jesus Sanz said in a press release. “Guadalaiara is a popular destination for business travelers, tourists who want to see native mariachi music, and people in our community who want to visit their friends and relatives.”
