The comfortable cabins are divided into two sections, and the cabin we stayed in overlooked the river (pp. 1-4). I liked the location, although I wasn’t thrilled with the fact that the picnic table and fire ring are on a steep hill. Last weekend we had to rain to swim and the campsite was a bit flooded so we decided not to sit on the grass or make a fire. It was nice to sit on the deck there to relax and eat. However, if there had been a stranger in the cabin we shared on the deck, we could have caught fire on the steep hill. Another set of comfortable cabins is on the flat ground, but they are crowded together and look like a trailer park. I don’t think I want to stay there.
The camp office is fully stocked with everything you need while you are there. The office also had a large balcony where you could sit while checking email and Facebook on the WiFi.
I really like this campground more than any other I’ve been to. Later this summer I will be swimming in the river again because it is raining and I have a license to use it later this year.
